Lapa Rios - Osa Peninsula - Costa Rica

Lapa Rios

1,000 acres of private nature reserve surround this hotel in the wilderness. The Corcovado National Park provides the backdrop to this ecotourism project, 350 feet above sea level. Sixteen thatched bungalows peek out of the trees, complete with stone-laid floors and waterfall showers. The staff are naturalist-led and are on hand to guide you to any number of activities, from kayaking to hiking.

All departments have detailed systems checklists, with timely routines and reporting techniques; incorporated recycling and trash data collection; the projected use and conservation goals of electrical energy, water and non-recyclables; and monitored organic and biodegradable product suppliers, and how community projects are progressing.
