At the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, on gorgeous grounds covered in pine and eucalyptus trees, Cavallo Point offers unmatched views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the skyline beyond the bay. The lobby chalkboard keeps track of the day’s activities, which include yoga, hikes and wellness seminars.
There are two options to lay your head. Sixty-eight historic rooms and suites are in the endearing Colonial Revival buildings, complete with gas fireplaces and wraparound porches with rocking chairs. There are also 74 modern accommodations, with eco furniture and the finest views of the bridge and bay. Both the new and old wings are LEED Gold certified.
The Michelin-starred restaurant Murray Circle is known for its emphasis on all things local and artisanal. Native plants flourish all over the 10-acre grounds, and spa lovers will want to indulge in an organic treatment or acupuncture at the Healing Arts Center, which also has a fabulous heated outdoor meditation pool, garden and tea bar.
